Normal Delivery

Anjana

three

I am now a proud mom of a beautiful 4month old girl baby and I am glad to share my pregnancy and post delivery experience.  It has indeed been a smooth transition from an expectant mom to a mother with its own share of challenges .Thanks to the prenatal classes, which helped me overcome  those challenges with ease.
Starting with prenatal exercises to new born care, the class was a complete package in itself. Practicing the prenatal exercises starting right from my 2nd trimester, helped me keep fit both physically and mentally.By the end of 6 classes I knew what to expect and had even taken a tour of my labour ward. I diligently followed all the dos and donts of pregnancy that I learnt in the class. At 8 months my baby's head had fixed and I knew I was on the path to my normal delivery.
It was early in the morning around 2.30 am on march 13 when I felt my first contraction. With my due date around 10 days away I convinced myself  that it was only a false pain and tried to fall back asleep again. Unable to drift into sleep I decided to time my contractions as it did not stop with one. The information that I had gathered during the labour class really helped. By 4.30am my pain had increased in intensity and frequency , but nothing unbearable. I realized it was time to visit the hospital and so I got admitted on emergency. The nurse did her preliminary checks and after a couple of phone calls to my ob-gyn confirmed that I was in labour and it was time for my baby to come out.  I knew that in a few hours I would be holding my precious little one  in my arms! Once the contractions had peaked I was administered the epidural anesthesia also known as painless delivery, as advised by my doctor. I had already been counselled about it and  I knew I had taken the right decision to take it as the pain had become unbearable for me. Within few minutes I was numb below my hip and was only feeling the pressure of the contractions. We waited for some more time for the cervix mouth to open and slowly they asked me to push . I managed few pushes and was doing well , with my husband by my side for support. That was when my doctor noticed that the cord was around my baby's neck. So they decided to use forceps to pull her out for the safety of the baby  and out she came crying!
Nurturing and taking care of the little one has been a wonderful experience so far for both me and my husband. As we attended the classes as a couple, my husband is now very adept at handling the baby ,be it changing her nappy, putting her to sleep or comforting her when she in distress! I would definitely urge other expectant mothers to take up such classes to bond better with the baby and your spouse and to dispel myths related to pregnancy and delivery. Through these classes I realised that just because you are dull looking during your pregnancy it doesnt mean you are carrying a boy and whatever may be the mode of delivery, be it normal or caesarean , post delivery nursing matters the most for your little one!!
A huge thanks to  Dr.Jaisri and Dr.Nithiya Ramamurthy ,I am now a happy mom indeed!!!
Thanks,
Anjana

Vaginal Birth after C section, have normal delivery after Cserian

Hi All,

This is Akila & Vivek, We are happy to announce we are blessed with Baby Boy on 24th July 2019 through VBAC Natural delivery (without any medication). We are sharing our birth experience of our new born.

Right from conception we were very particular about natural delivery, especially after emergency “C” section delivery of my 1st Baby. It was through my brother we identified  Happy mom.

All the classes of Dr Jayashree were very informative and made us understand each and every stages of pregnancy and how to & when to react. And it inculcated in our mind that Natural delivery was possible. Patience was the key factor through the pregnancy.

Our EDD was 2nd Aug,  during our regular checkups & we were informed during 38weeks that Head was fixed & can expect pain any time. I had mild contractions at 5.30 AM.

As pain increased gradually, as advised by the hospital we rushed her to  hospital as we are coming from far away (Perungalathur). After examination, we were informed that it was 3cm dilation 50% effacement & -2 station.

As soon as we saw Jayashree mam arrived it was huge boost of confidence. It was never looking back then and our focus was only to deliver the baby naturally.

Sac broke at 11.30 AM & after all struggles Baby was delivered naturally at 1.15PM on the hands. We preferred for delayed cord cutting and waited for 45min.

Jayashree Mam – You are one of the gifted persons to our society, I wish you to continue your service & I was fortunate enough to find a person like you in my life. It was really emotional moment.

Thanks to Happy Mom  for making our dream of VBAC come true for which Our heartful thanks Dr Jayashree  for realizing our dream of VBAC come true.

WaterBirth by chennai Mom

My birthing story
Warning!! Long post!! 😁😁
almost 3 yrs back...my sister had a beautiful water birth. she was blessed with a baby boy.. and tht chngd my perception about child birth. I too wanted to do a water birth too just like hers(no two deliveries are the same. my bubble popped when i was n labour). So as soon as i got pregnant i came to chennai and went to the right place and met the right people. Bloom hospital Dr.Kavitha gautham and Dr.Jayashree .. i went to prenatal classes which was conducted by Dr.jayashree... got to learn many things about exercises during pregnancy, child birth and infant care. trust me you must attend her classes. one must be aware of whts gng to happen and wht to expect. And during every check ups Dr.nazeem would make sure all my doubts are cleared. She would explain things so well which made me so comfortable. Stress free.
I was due on march 27th.. but nothing went as per plan.
Dr.Kavitha was patient enough with me and agreed to wait a lil longer... on 2nd April arnd 1330hrs pain started .. arnd 1830hrs was the real pain.. phew!! and Dr.jayashree was thr with me from 1600hrs. Making me do exercises and making sure i was well hydrated. my birthing partners (hubby and sister) were also really helpful. and i doubt any other hospital will allow this.. i was so comfortable with my people around. also the nurses who helped me during this time. Hats off to sister Raji. she s amazing!!! i would suggest you listen to doc Jayashree... when she says eat .. you better eat. worked for me..!! so arnd 7ish they took me to the labour room.. hmmm... i went straight to the wester closet. given a chance i would have delivered thr. lol. but thts not what i wanted. so i went to the pool.. nice luke warm water..soothing when i didnt hav contractions 😜 and exercises... just listen to wht ppl tell you. DO NOT RESIST! DO AS TOLD is the key. arnd 2040hrs i remember my husband telling me "babys head is in my hand" just one push away.. and at 2048hrs my baby girl was in my arms!! They let my husband take the baby out and he gave her to me...which made it even more special..also he got the opportunity to cut the cord...most beautiful moment in my life..!!!
Dr.Sathiya priya stitched me up... luckily perineum massages(must do) helped. just few stitches..healed soon. 🙏🙏 Dr.Kavitha Gautham came to see me after the delivery 🙂 her presence always boosts my confidence.
Rest i dont remember ... i was just too excited 😁
Really thankful to Dr.Kavitha Gautham & her team and Dr.Jayashree for giving me such a beautiful birthing experience. A big thank you to all the nurses and other staff members who helped me thru this process 😊🙏
Mistakes I made :
* Didn't knw the value of medicine ball. Please buy if possible. Helped a lot during labour.. Even post delivery will b helpful to workout.
* Ate ice-cream every day!! (sugar cravings) try to control as much as u can.
* Workout before conceiving. You need a lot of stamina for the whole process

HypnoBirth Natural birth expeirence by Chennai Mom

I wrote a Google review but I never shared my experience with mummies here ..... after reading the recent experience by celebrity Chhavi Mittal, I think I should share my experience here
Mainly to reiterate the point that you are all in excellent hands!
I had a premature rupture of membrane at 36weeks. Usual protocol is to induce labour but because we wanted a natural labour all the bloom doctors respectfully gave us the space to wait for labour to start. The wait was scary as there was no pain and risk of infection was there but the doctors closely monitored me while I shuttled daily from home to hospital. Dr.Jeyshree our doula checked in ever so regularly, also reassuring us in every way possible.
My pain finally started 4 days later, early in the morning but it was very mild. When contractions became more intense it escalated very fast. We rushed to the hospital where I was taken to the labour suite. As I was very close to delivery, within 20min of reaching the hospital baby was born.
Labour of my choice, mainly because I didn’t like my first experience and it was only possible because of Dr.jeyshree & Dr.Kavitha and her team.
I’m almost 6 months post delivery and one thing I’ve understood is birth can happen in many ways but the experience should b a memorable one. Unfortunately many suffer a traumatic experience.
Thank you to the whole team for creating this supported birth experience for all the mothers. No Matter what the mode of delivery is I truly Wish all the mothers here to have a beautiful birth story to cherish & share

birth experience

Am Rajalakshmi Manikandan, sharing my birth experience in bloom after 8 months...

From the first day of pregnancy,  i decided to give a normal delivery... For this reason I selected Bloom hospital, velachery. Asusual checkup, scan, etc was done. At 20 week, i heard about the antenatal classes. Me and my husband were discussed and finally attended the class 1 by Dr Jeyashree mam. Very informative about birth. She gave us knowledge about wat is birth, how breastfeeding us important, how to handle baby, how to tackle labor and exercises as well. After attending the classes, i boldly started doing all the house hold works. After 30 weeks, i used to do floor cleaning twice, daily exercises and walking for 2 km daily. My husband encourage me to do squats daily in front of him( becoz he knows that i wont do if he leaves). At 38 weeks, i had little little pain while walking but it last for few sec and went. We went for the check up and doctor said no effacement and not dilated... i got upset though i am doing all the exercises, walking daily and asked my hubby will i get pain and normal delivery possible?  He said dont get upset and dont stressd urself...surely our baby will come through normal delivery...dont worry... He always encourage me and he is very bold than me...
At 39 weeks 2 days i got contraction and it last for 20-30 sec and it comes at regular interval.i tolerated the pain and Dr Jeyashree mam said once u get unbearable pain then start to hospital other than emergency. so i think of that and i started walking in my home itself...that evening i couldnt bear the pain and the movement of baby also fast...i went to hospital... Dr Ramya checked and said 2 cm 25% effaced. After the examination, met Dr Kavita she said get admitted since u had pain from the morning. That nit eagerly waiting for the moment. My baby is not ready to come.Next day i started walking and did squats and after that i got induced. After 4 hrs, i got severe contraction.. Dr Misha checked and said 4 cm 50% effaced. Then i started to climbs stair's and did squats walking. Actually i got that severe contraction at 5 am in the morning. My husband helped me alot.Dr Jeyashree mam classes really worked out. My husband soothes me during pain. At 11 am my water broken out.  They took me to labor room where i did squats again at 12 pm i couldnt do anything becoz am very tired.Am sisters told me to take bed for a while.Dr's came and said that 100% effaced -1 station and discusing that they can see the baby head. Finally they told me to push fast. First push and second push.... woweee i can hear my babies sound, it was around 12.10 pm.Really felt very happy.  The pain which i had for 3-4 hrs went away.My husband looking at me. I asked him "enna baby" he asked me "Are u fine" and said i havent seen. Then the nurse showed me the baby and said Baby Girl. (July 26th 2018).
We both are very happy and the birth travel become an unforgettable moment.
After the babies birth my understanding towards my husband increases. I haven't think he could do these much help.Even after birth, he tried his best to take of us both in all cases.
Still i think what would have happened if i didn't attended the classes...
My very big thanks to Dr Jeyashree mam for the knowledge she given and it not only helps for labor but also how to care baby and important of breastfeeding.

Thank you so much mam.

Natural Birth after C section on the floor

Felt the true meaning of Janmashtami this year in Bloom Birthing centre Velachery
Sangeetha John met me in 2016 .
She was desperate in going for Natural birth as her first childbirth was a c section which she even now doesn't know why it happened. After 6 years this pregnancy ,she was so bold in her thoughts in going through natural birth. She is the person who was fighting for her rights in her own family with her mom and in laws to go with natural birth, as all her family members wanted her to go via c section.
Everything was going as her plan but around 41 weeks 5 days it happened to be an emergency c section. This time she was so happy to go through c section as she knows the reason of why its happening so and than it was a beautiful boy baby and she exclusively breastfed without any hassle.
In the mid of 2017 I met her with her elder sister vijayalakshmi who was on her family way.Viji came from Bangalore to discuss on her VBAC chances and Sangeetha was so desperate to make it happen for her sister.Viji went back to Bangalore and I met her again around her 34-35 weeks.
I was so confident with Viji not because of Viji but it is for Sangeetha. Even I remember telling her you can go with labor only with Sangeetha as your labor support because I know how much effort she had placed. Only for one session I met Viji husband , I was particular in saying whatever it is make sure Sangeetha is around .
Around 8.00 am september 2 nd I think Sangeetha called and said that Viji has back pains and I will update after reaching home.Around 12.00 pm she called me and said we has taken appointment for pregnancy massage can we do it,I said please go ahead.
Around 10.30 pm Viji husband called and said that pain is intense than we decided to go yo hospital. Around 1.30 am received a call saying they are in hospital and 2.00 am from duty doctor saying Viji is 6 cm dilated than when I went there by 2.20 am we shifted Viji to floor mattress as they had planned for natural birth.
Baby head started to crown with the sac . Viji was not able to bear she was exploring positions and 3.30 am September 3rd baby girl was born with the sac. The moment baby came out sac broked on Viji's husband's hand as he was also ready along with the doctor to receive baby.
It was so much joy which was not seen externally but I could see in each ones hearts.
It was Sangeetha who gave birth there as I could see her dream has come true with this little princess birth.
This Krishna jayanthi was very special
Two moms gave birth to a child
Its truly a janmashtami for me.
